What building in public actually taught me

Building in public is one of those things that sounds obvious until you actually try it.

The uncomfortable part

Sharing unfinished work feels weird. You keep thinking — what if someone sees this and thinks it’s bad?

Turns out, nobody cares as much as you think. And the people who do engage are the exact people worth knowing.

What actually worked

Consistent small updates beat big launches every time. A tweet saying “shipped a tiny thing today” gets more genuine response than “announcing my new project!!!”.

What I’d do differently

Start earlier. The version of you six months from now will look back and wish you’d started today.
